REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: ENTREPRENEUR
You must have a legally obtained minimum net worth of CDN $300,000,
jointly with your accompanying spouse or common-law spouse, if
applicable.
You must also have at least 3 years of experience in management
(planning, management and control of human, material and financial
resources) acquired within a profitable and legal company (agricultural,
industrial or commercial).
Submit a business project with a view to creating or acquiring
a business in Quebec, which you will directly manage yourself
or within which you will act as a joint manager or be jointly
responsible for its day-to-day operations, and which will employ
at least three Quebec residents other than yourself and the members
of your immediate family.
Meet the following conditions for a period of at least one year
within the period of three years after the day on which you become
a permanent resident:
You must control a percentage of the equity of a qualifying Canadian
business equal to or greater than 33.3 per cent;
You must provide active and ongoing management of this business;
You must create at least one incremental full-time job equivalent
for Canadian citizens or permanent residents, other than yourself
and your family members.
